Qualifications

The individual is responsible for scheduling, procuring, and coordinating Base Oil expediting actions to meet production goals and accept Sapref and imported base oils into Blendcor and 3P's OTIFs. They ensure manufacturing meets marketers' expectations, build internal ties, and utilize IT systems to manage and enhance activity results.

Responsibilities

  1. Calculating receipts of all base oils and Customs P201s.
  2. Monitoring and reporting daily inward and outward movements of base oils.
  3. Sequencing rundown plans and tank changeovers with minimal disruption to blending.
  4. Highlighting potential stockouts and overflows of base oils to marketers and Sapref.
  5. Managing the import of base oils into Blendcor and 3rd party warehouses.
  6. Representing Blendcor/Shell and BP in mock drills at the berth with TNPA and OOC.
  7. Completing reconciliations for product movements—SAPREF/other oil companies/imports/exports/Blendcor.
  8. Arranging pre-arrival and post-arrival meetings and documenting minutes.
  9. Troubleshooting, investigating, and correcting discrepancies to ensure continuous improvement.
  10. Preparing documentation and customs paperwork for imports and exports.
  11. Optimizing base oil and tank usage.
  12. Scheduling tanks for inspection, repairs, and maintenance with Engineering.
  13. Compiling T.O.P.S reports and conducting quarterly meetings with TNPA, explaining deviations from targets.
  14. Maintaining up-to-date procedures and work instructions to ensure internal controls.
  15. Forecasting base oil needs and preparing the Base Oil Dynamics Schedule.
  16. Conducting weekly cycle counts, updating variances, and analyzing root causes.
  17. Running the weekly Base Oil Forum to ensure supply continuity and risk assessment.
  18. Accountability for deviations, data accuracy, and inventory losses/gains.
  19. Investigating stock loss/gain discrepancies and work in progress.
  20. Ensuring process improvements are effective and reporting on progress.
  21. Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  22. Authority to make temporary process changes for trials.
  23. Participating in S&OP processes to align production plans with demand.

Qualifications

  1. National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or Business.
  2. Ship 2 Shore Operations certification and Shore Officer qualifications.
  3. Certification in Production Planning (SAPICS or APICS).
  4. 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing planning role.
  5. Knowledge of Petroleum Custody Transfer Measurement (e.g., Long tons, BBLS).
  6. Experience in stakeholder relationship management.
  7. Negotiation and motivational skills.
  8. Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy.
  9. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  10. Ability to work under pressure.
  11. Partnering and influencing skills.
  12. SAP system experience.
  13. Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  14. Ability to apply problem-solving tools (5WHY, Fishbone, FFA).
