Overview

Job Purpose: The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while providing excellent customer service. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and smoothies.
  • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations when requested.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and seating area.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Handle cash and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system with accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels of coffee, supplies, and consumables, and report shortages to management.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing queries, concerns, or complaints in a professional manner.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing role (advantageous but not always required).
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment operation preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
