Job Description:
As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all bars On BoardCruise Ship. You will work closely with the Food and Beverage Director to ensure that our guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable experience while enjoying our wide variety of beverages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all bar staff, including bartenders, bar servers, and bar backs
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the bar department
- Create and implement drink menus and promotions to increase sales and revenue
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations
- Train and develop bar staff on proper service techniques and customer service skills
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events and themed nights
- Conduct regular bar inspections to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment
- Prepare and present reports on bar sales, inventory, and staff performance
- Monitor and control expenses to meet budgetary guidelines
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all team members
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a bar management role, preferably in a cruise ship or hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to train and develop a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
