A leading company in the hospitality sector is seeking a detail-oriented Banqueting and Conference Manager. The role involves overseeing event operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and managing operational teams. Candidates should have significant experience in high-volume environments and possess strong leadership and planning skills.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Banqueting and Conference Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of banqueting and conference operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Manage the full planning and execution of banquets, meetings, and conferences.
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions.
Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth event execution.
Oversee event setup, room layout, décor, and service delivery in line with event briefs.
Guide, train, roster, and discipline banqueting and conference staff.
Ensure the availability and accountability of operating equipment and event supplies.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of beverages, cleaning stock, and event-specific items.
Update and maintain the weekly planner for staffing and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
Handle guest feedback and resolve any service issues promptly.
Maintain accurate administrative records related to events, staff scheduling, and departmental finances.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
At least 5 years of experience in banqueting and conference management within a high-volume hospitality or event environment.
Proven experience in event planning and operational execution .
Relevant qualification in hospitality or event management is advantageous.
Experience managing teams of 10 to 30 staff members .
