Job responsibilities
  • Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
  • Greet visitors and notify the appropriate staff of their arrival.
  • Ensure visitors sign in and out, and record patient movements appropriately.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls; take messages when appropriate.
  • Sort and distribute post.
  • Assist with general office duties as required.
  • Keep the reception area clean and tidy.
  • Promote safety and security for all site users and ensure staff comply with security protocols.

You'll be working at Cygnet Kenney House, our new hospital for women in Oldham, providing care for women with mental health needs. The facility includes three wards: Billington Ward (12-bed PICU), Baldock Ward (16-bed acute service), and Harben Ward (16-bed mental health rehabilitation).

Candidate requirements
  • Experience as a receptionist or administrator working with customers/clients
  • Organized, helpful, and a good multi-tasker
  • Computer literate (Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook or similar)
  • Knowledge of telephone systems
  • Polite, friendly, approachable, with excellent communication skills
  • GCSE Maths and English, with good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Diligent, accurate, and confidentiality-aware

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
