Description :

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in haematology to work in a busy NHS Hospital in East London. We are seeking a biomedical scientist capable of supporting the laboratory's services effectively. This is a temporary contract with a rate of £23.00 - £31.00 per hour.

Responsibilities :

As a Biomedical Scientist in haematology and blood transfusion, you will be expected to have extensive experience in operating analysers for full blood counts (FBC) and coagulation testing. Experience in blood film morphology is preferred but not essential. You will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting analysers, as well as loading and operating equipment.

Essential Requirements :

• HCPC registration
• Microtomy experience
• Experience in UK NHS or private sector Haematology laboratories
• Experience in coagulation and blood transfusion
