Job summary

Pick n Pay's Longbeach Mall bakery in Western Cape is seeking a full-time Baker to prepare a variety of bakery items, ensure freshness, taste and presentation, and uphold hygiene and safety standards.

The role includes monitoring ingredients, scheduling production to meet demand, and delivering friendly service. Minimum qualification is NQF2 Craft Baking or Core Skills with an in-store practical assessment.

Qualifications

• NQF2 Craft Baking Learnership or NQF2 Core Skills Programmes 1-3 required.
• In-store practical assessment required.
• Excellent personal hygiene and health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products according to recipe manual.
• Merchandise bakery visually and keep sections together.
• Provide friendly customer service and answer queries.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene during production.
• Monitor equipment and report faults.
• Analyze sales and wastage to inform daily production planning.
