Overview:

We’re hiring a Laravel Backend Developer to work on a suite of bespoke platforms, including a new AI-powered SaaS product. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building robust APIs, managing data structures, and architecting scalable systems. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team and contribute to backend features that power complex, modern web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and building scalable backend features using Laravel
• Creating and consuming RESTful APIs for external integrations
• Building and maintaining web scraping tools for periodic data updates
• Integrating third-party services such as Stripe, SendGrid, and OpenAI
• Designing and optimizing relational (MySQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
• Writing clean, maintainable PHP code aligned with Laravel standards
• Participating in technical planning and backend architecture decisions
• Managing source control using Git, including pull requests and code reviews

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience building backend systems using Laravel
• Proven ability to work with APIs (RESTful) and third-party integrations
• Confident designing and optimizing MySQL queries and database architecture
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and collaborative development practices
• Experience building automated scraping tools or similar data-gathering services
• Comfortable integrating AI/ML services such as OpenAI (bonus)

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with versioned SaaS environments
• Exposure to server-side security best practices and GDPR compliance
