Job summary

Monkey and River is seeking a mid-level C# Developer to design and implement secure backend services and APIs. You will work on scalable applications, collaborating with frontend, QA and DevOps teams to deliver complete solutions in a hybrid setup.

The role requires 2+ years of C#/.NET experience, strong OO design skills and proficiency with ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs and SQL databases. You’ll contribute to code quality with tests and refactoring for performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of C# and .NET development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using C# and .NET (6 and above).
• Build scalable, secure solutions for web and, where applicable, desktop applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers and DevOps teams to deliver complete solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code that follows SOLID principles and modern best practices.
• Work with databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL using Entity Framework or Dapper.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and maintainability.
• Improve existing systems through refactoring, performance optimisation and automation.
