Job Requirements

• ISTQB – Foundation testing certification is a must. ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst is preferable.
• Relevant IT degree or diploma required.
• Training in object-oriented Programming (OOP).
• Training on ReadyAPI, SOAPUI or Postman.
• 3 – 5 years' experience in writing custom test applications.
• Experience in analyzing complex and technical design diagrams and specifications.
• Experience in using SQL to query databases and using JDBC within API testing.
• Experience in working with Git repositories and branching strategies.
• Experience in Automated test case development, estimation, and maintenance.
• Extensive experience developing test cases and test scenarios from story cards / use cases and / or requirements specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Good understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance concepts across the SDLC.
• Knowledge of test metrics and their use for decision support.
• Cross-functional expertise, adaptability, and flexibility to thrive in a complex, changing environment.
• Ability to lead, work independently, or function as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop test plans, approach, and scope for automation efforts.
2. Provide test estimate input for projects.
3. Contribute to continuous improvement of test methodology.
4. Establish and manage test data.
5. Review functional requirements for completeness, correctness, and clarity.
6. Understand business capabilities to shape testing scenarios.
7. Define automation targets and objectives with Team Lead.
8. Analyze and develop proper test coverage with stakeholders.
9. Trace requirements to test cases to verify coverage.
10. Manage test preparation and execution activities.
11. Create necessary test data and execute scenario-based test cases.
12. Analyze metrics for quality assessment.
13. Trace coverage and clearance, and report status.
14. Debug test scripts against targets.
15. Prioritize defects logged with the development team.
