Job Requirements

1. ISTQB – Foundation testing certification is a must. ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst is preferable.
2. Relevant IT degree or diploma required.
3. Training in object-oriented Programming (OOP) preferred.
4. Experience with ReadyAPI, SOAPUI, or Postman.
5. 3 – 5 years' experience in writing custom test applications.
6. Experience analyzing complex and technical design diagrams and specifications.
7. Proficiency in SQL querying and using JDBC within API testing.
8. Experience working with Git repositories and branching strategies.
9. Experience in automated test case development, estimation, and maintenance.
10. Ability to develop comprehensive test cases and scenarios from story cards, use cases, or requirements.
11. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
12. Understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance concepts across the SDLC.
13. Knowledge of test metrics and their application in decision-making.
14. Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a complex, dynamic environment.
15. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
16. Effective communication skills.
17. Willingness to work extended hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop test plans, approaches, and scope for automation efforts.
2. Provide test estimates and contribute to improving testing methodology.
3. Manage test data effectively.
4. Review functional requirements for completeness, correctness, and clarity.
5. Define automation targets and objectives in collaboration with the team lead.
6. Develop and analyze test coverage and trace requirements to test cases.
7. Manage test preparation and execution activities, including data creation and scenario-based testing.
8. Analyze testing metrics and report on quality status.
9. Collaborate with the project and test teams to address issues and report progress.
10. Debug and execute test scripts, prioritize defects for resolution.
