Job Title: Back End Developer (Advanced and Senior)

Location: Menlyn, Hybrid model

Type: Contract / Permanent (Renewing based on performance / project availability)

Workload: 1960 hours per annum

We’re seeking a Back End Developer (Advanced) to design, develop, deploy, and maintain robust microservice-based solutions primarily in AWS, using modern programming languages and DevOps practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and operate production-ready applications in a 24/7 environment
• Work with modern architectures: Microservices, Containers, Serverless
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS Cloud using CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with global teams, vendors, and customers
• Monitor systems through AWS CloudWatch, logging tools, and health dashboards
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and prepare technical documentation
• Embrace an Agile/SCRUM culture and take ownership as per the Agile Working Model

Required Technical Skills:

• 5 - 15 years of experience in:
• Back-end technologies: JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js, Python, Java
• AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3, etc.
• Container tech: Docker, Kubernetes
• DevOps tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Terraform, CloudFormation
• Database expertise in SQL and NoSQL
• Web services, event-driven architecture, messaging (SQS, SNS, Kinesis)
• Design and architectural patterns

Advantageous Experience:

• Control theory, machine learning, optimization algorithms
• E-mobility or IoT-based systems
• Linux scripting, WSL, or Unix systems
• Power/energy consumption analytics

Qualifications:

• Relevant IT Degree
• Cloud Certifications (AWS preferred)
