Job summary

ATS Client in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Back-End C# Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end systems and APIs. You will integrate AI/LLM features with Azure OpenAI, build cloud-native apps using Azure App Services, Functions, and Service Bus, and optimize SQL with EF Core/Dapper.

Ideal candidates have 3-7+ years of back-end experience, strong C#/.NET Core skills, and a solid understanding of security, REST standards, and CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-7+ years of professional back-end development experience
• Proven experience building APIs and microservices in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage)
• Experience integrating AI/LLM services (Azure OpenAI preferred)
• Strong experience with SQL and at least one ORM (EF Core/Dapper)
• Knowledge of security standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, Managed Identities)
• Experience with embeddings, vector databases/indexes, or RAG-based architectures

• Education:
