Job description

Azure Platform Engineer required in Cape Town.

We’re looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to join an team supporting international customers.

This role focuses on senior 3rd line support and technical project delivery, working across a broad range of Azure and Microsoft technologies.

What you’ll do:

• Provide 3rd line incident diagnosis, resolution and proactive support for cloud-based environments
• Deliver technical project implementations for Azure services
• Collaborate with service desk, technical teams, and customers to resolve complex issues
• Engage with vendors to identify and apply innovative solutions
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance customer service and technical processes
• Develop technical documentation and user guides

What you’ll bring:

• Relevant certifications: AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-140, AZ-305, and ITIL v3/v4 Foundation
• 5–10 years’ experience supporting enterprise environments: Windows Server OS, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and a wide range of Azure resources (e.g., VMs, Key Vaults, Azure AD, conditional access policies, load balancers, backups)
• Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication in English, and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor teammates and drive solutions through to completion
• Flexibility to occasionally work after hours if needed
