Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Senior Azure PaaS Engineer to build and operate secure, highly available platforms on MSC Azure infrastructures. You will implement IaC with ARM/Terraform/Ansible, and integrate Datadog for logging and monitoring to drive reliability and cost efficiency.

You will own capacity planning and FinOps, continually improving deployment recipes and CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps, while collaborating with development and QA teams to resolve performance issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Platform Engineer, SRE or Backend Engineer.
• 3+ years Microsoft Azure experience.
• 3+ years CI pipelines (Azure).
• Proficiency with ARM, Terraform, Ansible.
• Proficiency in production-quality Bash scripts.
• FinOps familiarity; service plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds, runs, and supports highly available platforms with security-first principles aligned with MSC standards.
• Proactively stays up to date with new Microsoft Azure services and optimized cost offerings.
• Creates and manages platform on the MSC Azure infrastructure using ARM, Terraform, Ansible.
• Implements logging & monitoring into Datadog to ensure smooth operation of the Azure platform.
• Defines & manages service-level metrics such as SLIs/SLOs/SLAs using Datadog logging & monitoring.
• Handles incidents & outages, restores services, and performs post-incident/root cause analysis.
• Owns FinOps & Capacity Planning to optimize spending and scalability, and review opportunities.
• Delivers continuous improvement of recipes, scripts, and templates for reproducible deployments.
• Shows proficiency in secure infrastructure & networking and data life cycle management.
• Deploys and manages Azure Container Apps, uses Azure DevOps to build CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverages collaboration with development and QA teammates to resolve issues.
• Collaborates on the evolution of the Company Track & Trace technical architecture.
