Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join our maintenance team in Mahikeng, North West. You will install, inspect, and repair complex avionics systems to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance across diverse aircraft types.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of hands-on avionics experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and a solid understanding of electrical/electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Certified Aircraft Avionics Technician or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in avionics maintenance and repair.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems across aircraft types.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems and testing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems, including navigation, communication, autopilot, and radar systems.
• Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on avionics components as per maintenance manuals and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret avionics schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic data to identify and resolve system faults.
• Calibrate and certify avionics equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance, modifications, and repairs performed on avionics systems.
