Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Security Supervisor to lead security operations at their East London facility. The role combines on-site supervision with remote administrative planning, ensuring passengers, staff, and assets remain secure.

You will oversee security staff, implement protocols, and conduct audits to meet national and international standards. A strong leader with vigilance and clear communication is essential in this dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of aviation security experience, with supervisory background.
• Thorough understanding of airport security operations and regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent observational and vigilance capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and security threats.
• Proficiency in security monitoring systems (CCTV, access control).
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of aviation security staff.
• Implement and enforce airport security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security patrols and inspections of airport premises.
• Monitor CCTV systems and respond to security incidents.
• Train and mentor security personnel.
• Manage access control systems and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and other relevant authorities.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain security logs.
• Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations (e.g., ICAO Annex 17, TAPA).
