Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation security, compliance, or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of civil aviation security regulations and standards.
• Proven experience in conducting security audits, risk assessments, and developing security plans.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
• Based in or able to commute to Stellenbosch, Western Cape for hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor aviation security policies and procedures in compliance with national and international regulations.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments of facilities, operations, and personnel.
• Oversee the effective implementation of screening processes, access controls, and surveillance systems.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for staff.
• Investigate security breaches, incidents, and suspicious activities, preparing reports with corrective actions.
• Liaise with government security agencies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders on security matters.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all security-related documentation, training, and incidents.
• Manage and coordinate security equipment procurement and maintenance.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technological advancements in aviation security.
• Provide expert advice on security matters to management and operational teams.
