Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Inspector for our operations center in Welkom. You will conduct regular audits, inspections, and investigations to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and to identify hazards.

The role supports continuous improvement of safety management systems and requires strong analytical skills and proactive safety leadership. The ideal candidate has significant experience in aviation safety management, an Aviation Safety Inspector

Qualifications

• Significant experience in aviation safety management or related field.
• Aviation Safety Inspector certification or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations, SMS, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety audits and inspections of aircraft, facilities, and procedures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
• Develop corrective action plans for identified safety deficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with national and international aviation safety regulations.
• Promote safety awareness through training and communication initiatives.
• Maintain records of inspections, investigations, and safety performance metrics.
