Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly knowledgeable Aviation Compliance Manager to join our client team in a fully remote capacity. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to national and international aviation regulations, developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs, and liaising with regulatory bodies to maintain operational integrity.

You will conduct internal audits, investigate compliance issues, provide training to management and staff, and stay current with SA-CAA and ICAO

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in aviation compliance or aviation law.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international aviation regulations.
• Experience developing compliance management systems and conducting audits.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Relevant degree in Law, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs, conducting internal audits, and liaising with regulatory bodies to maintain the highest levels of operational integrity. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive aviation compliance programs across all operational areas.
• Stay current with evolving aviation regulations (e.g., SA-CAA, ICAO) and ensure timely updates to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to evaluate compliance status and identify potential risks.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, prepare for external audits, and ensure all required documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Investigate compliance issues, develop corrective action plans, and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.
• Provide expert guidance and training to management and staff on aviation regulatory requirements and best practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aviation compliance, regulatory affairs, or aviation law, preferably within an airline or MRO environment.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international aviation regulations and standards.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance management systems and conducting audits.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• A relevant degree in Law, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
