Placements24 in Polokwane is looking for a Robotics Software Engineer focused on AI integration to advance autonomous robotic systems. You will develop and integrate AI-enabled perception and navigation on robotic platforms, working with sensors like cameras, LiDAR, and IMUs.

You will collaborate with hardware teams, optimize real-time performance, and contribute to the design of intelligent systems while staying current with robotics and AI developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in robotics software development with proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with ROS is essential.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, computer vision, reinforcement learning.
• Experience with integrating AI models into real-time systems.
• Understanding of control and motion planning algorithms.
• Experience with simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim) desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Able to work in a collaborative team and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for robotic systems with a focus on AI integration.
