Job summary

The People Connection (PTY) Ltd is seeking a Financial Accountant to oversee financial operations for the group and its subsidiaries. You will drive IFRS-compliant statements and coordinate annual audits, including providing documentation and responding to queries.

The role involves preparing AFS for three entities using CaseWare, managing tax computations, VAT, and stock reconciliations across warehouses, while supporting BEE processes.

Qualifications

• Required BCom degree and articles with 2+ years post-article experience, or
• 5-6 years financial accounting experience without articles.
• Manufacturing or FMCG experience would be ideal.
• Syspro or another ERP system experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations across the parent company and subsidiaries
• Support the annual external audit process, responding to audit queries and providing documentation
• Liaise with external auditors to support an efficient audit process
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for three subsidiary entities using CaseWare
• Ensure IFRS compliant statements are accurate and completed on time
• Prepare tax computations and manage VAT requirements
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Participate in stock counts across warehouses and reconcile stock variances
• Coordinate BEE processes and rebate calculations
