The role of a Vehicle Apprentice is to support qualified technicians by performing basic repairs, maintenance tasks, and learning hands-on skills to become a certified automotive professional.

Remuneration

Full training and assistance toward RED Seal Technician certification.

Duties:

• Collaborate with technicians and foremen to learn:
• The complete workshop processes and procedures.
• Vehicle booking procedures and effective customer interaction.
• Technical aspects, including servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
• Full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHSA) regulations.
• Build strong working relationships with the sales team, workshop staff, parts department, and service providers.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with a technical qualification (N1 / N2 / N3); motor trade subjects will be a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is beneficial.
• Experience at a Dealership Service Workshop or a similar mechanical service environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer relations skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Medically fit with no criminal record.
• Must reside on the East Rand or within close proximity to the dealership.
• Having own transport is advantageous.
• A genuine passion for the technical aspects of vehicles.
