About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Automotive Test Engineer to join their hybrid team in Kimberley . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of automotive components and systems through rigorous testing protocols. You will design test procedures, execute various types of tests (functional, performance, durability), analyze results, and report findings to engineering teams. The position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting, contributing to the development of robust automotive solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for automotive components and systems.
• Execute functional, performance, stress, and durability tests on vehicles and their sub-systems.
• Operate and maintain various testing equipment, including data acquisition systems and specialized rigs.
• Analyze test data, identify defects, and document findings clearly and concisely in test reports.
• Collaborate with design and development engineers to troubleshoot issues and verify resolutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements
