Placements24 in Benoni is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles using modern diagnostic equipment. You will work in a busy workshop, ensuring safety and quality repairs while delivering great customer service.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as an automotive technician, strong diagnostic skills, and knowledge of engine, transmission, suspension, braking and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician or Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with automotive tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of various vehicle makes and models, including engine repair and maintenance.
• Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments to identify mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on engine, transmission, suspension, braking, and electrical systems.
• Execute routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Use diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems accurately.
• Ensure all work is performed to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding necessary repairs and maintenance.
