POSITION INFO :

Our client in Upington, Northern Cape, is currently recruiting a Test / Mechanical Test Engineer or Automotive Technician for a 12-month contract.

The role involves inspecting vehicles and vehicle parts according to set procedures to detect and assess damage caused by climatic elements, and reporting such findings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. 5+ years of automotive technical experience.
2. Computer literacy is required.
3. Qualification: B.Eng, ND, or similar.
4. Experience in assembling and disassembling vehicles and components, and conducting inspections.
5. Ability to adapt and perform duties within a small, specialized team.
6. Responsible for various maintenance duties on site.
7. Experience with electronic equipment such as data loggers, thermocouples, and thermal cameras is an advantage.
8. Conduct detailed inspections, analyze failures, and recommend solutions.
9. NB: Our client is NOT looking for a diesel mechanic with yellow goods experience.
10. Reside in or near the Upington area.
