Automotive IT Manager - Eastern Suburbs, Gauteng

Duties: Included but not limited to:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of network infrastructure, servers, and systems, including hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, and backups as well as maintenance of IT Asset list.
2. Developing and managing the IT budget, forecasting costs, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
3. Implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect data and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
4. Ensuring that all group and company policies are adhered to.
5. Leading IT projects from initiation to completion, including system implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
6. Researching and evaluating new technologies, hardware, and software to identify potential improvements and cost savings.
7. Troubleshooting technical issues, identifying root causes, implementing solutions to minimize downtime, and assisting with IT Support calls for the group.
8. Collaborating with other departments to understand business needs and ensure IT initiatives align with strategic goals.
9. Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans to mitigate potential disruptions and data loss.
10. Development of SLAs for ITCs in the country.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an IT Manager role within the Motor Industry (Essential).
2. Relevant degree or diploma.
3. Mature individual that can work on their own (Essential).
4. Travel to African countries 1 week per month.
5. Experience within the Automotive industry, travelling and dealing with clients within the rest of Africa highly advantageous.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across different departments.
7. Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems.
8. Strong technical knowledge across various IT domains like network administration, server management, security protocols, and cloud computing.
9. Expertise in data centre management and data governance.
10. Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
11. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
12. Analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
13. Project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor IT projects.
14. Understanding of business operations and ability to align IT strategies with business goals.
