Placements24 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, ZA is seeking an Automotive Interior Design Specialist to shape future vehicle interiors. You will conceptualize and develop interior aesthetics, ergonomics and functionality, translating brand identity and customer needs into compelling designs that enhance comfort and usability.

You will work with a hybrid team, producing 2D sketches, renderings, and 3D models, and collaborating with engineering to ensure feasible designs for upcoming vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in automotive interior design.
• Proficiency in Alias, Sketchbook Pro, Photoshop and rendering tools.
• Strong portfolio showing concept development and refined design execution.
• Knowledge of automotive interior components, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of ergonomics and user experience in automotive contexts.
• Excellent visual communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office and remote collaboration.
