Placements24 in Centurion is seeking an Automotive Electrician to diagnose, repair, and install automotive electrical systems across a range of vehicles. You will work in a well-equipped workshop ensuring all electrical functions operate safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has proven experience, strong wiring theory, and proficiency with testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, plus the ability to read wiring diagrams; CAN/LIN bus experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Automotive Electrician or similar.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical theory and diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Experience with CAN/LIN bus is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems (lighting, battery, starter, charging).

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Automotive Electrician to join their workshop in Centurion . This role focuses on the diagnosis, repair, and installation of automotive electrical systems, from basic wiring to complex electronic components. You will work with a variety of vehicle types, ensuring all electrical functions operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of modern vehicle electronics, contributing to the high-quality service our client is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems, including lighting, battery, starter, and charging systems.
• Install and configure new electrical components, such as audio systems, alarms, and tracking devices.
• Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to engine control units (ECUs), sensors, and actuators.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to avoid future issues.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical theory and diagnostic procedures.
