Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician in Upington to join a dedicated service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems across a range of vehicles, using modern diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot faults and ensure high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include repairing batteries, alternators, starters, wiring harnesses, and ECUs, reading wiring diagrams, and performing preventive maintenance to extend vehicle longevity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and scan tools.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in automotive electrical work.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
