Placements24 seeks an Automotive Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and validate electrical systems for automotive applications in a hybrid Paarl-based team. You will craft schematics, harnesses, and ECU integrations while ensuring system safety and compliance across the vehicle architecture.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Automotive engineering, hands-on experience with Altium or OrCAD, and familiarity with CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks, power electronics, and sensor tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
• Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) is essential.
• Familiarity with power electronics, sensor tech, and electromechanical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, and component specifications for automotive applications.
• Implement and integrate electrical control units (ECUs) and ensure seamless communication between systems.
• Conduct electrical system testing and validation, including troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to ensure integrated system functionality.
