Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Data Analyst to join their Mossel Bay team. You will collect and clean large automotive datasets, perform in-depth analyses, and create dashboards to support decisions across sales, marketing, after-sales, and product development.

Ideal candidates have a quantitative background, 3+ years of data analysis experience in automotive contexts, and strong SQL/Python/R skills with Tableau or Power BI. Hybrid work in Mossel Bay is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analyst role, preferably within the automotive industry or a related sector.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R.
• Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and manage large volumes of automotive data from various sources (sales, service, telematics, market research).
• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and correlations related to vehicle performance, customer behavior, and market dynamics.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to track KPIs.
• Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Design and implement A/B testing strategies to evaluate marketing campaigns, product features, or service offerings.
• Develop predictive models to forecast sales, customer retention, and market trends.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and adherence to data governance policies.
• Stay current with industry best practices in data analysis and automotive market trends.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders in a compelling manner.
