Job summary

Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd is seeking an automation tester to support a leading financial services institution in South Africa, focusing on quality engineering and test automation for core banking applications.

You'll analyze and enhance automation scripts, develop test cases, design scalable automation, and collaborate with QA, development, and business stakeholders. Experience with Java, Spring Boot, API testing, and performance testing with JMeter is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ testing experience.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Test Analysis training or equivalent experience.
Basic knowledge of SQL.
Experience with API testing using Postman and SoapUI.
API documentation skills including Swagger.
Familiarity with Git and BitBucket.

Responsibilities

Analyse and enhance automation scripts for core banking applications.
Create and maintain test cases based on Business Requirement Specifications.
Design scalable and maintainable automation scripts.
Review and optimise existing testing processes.
Collaborate with QA, Infrastructure, Architecture, Development, and Business stakeholders.
Create and execute performance tests using JMeter.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues.
Demonstrate leadership while working with the Technical Team Lead.
