Psybergate is an IT company that builds bespoke software solutions and provides highly skilled resources to its clients.

We are looking for an Automation Test Analyst to join our financial services client based in Sandton for a 12-month contract role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Use the automation framework and pre-defined test tools to inspect, analyse, design, develop, and implement reusable automated test assets to quality assure the solution and its architecture.
  2. Build and foster deep relationships with peers, subject matter experts, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
  3. Work closely with Quality Assurance Leads, Practice Leads, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and other stakeholders.
  4. Contribute to retrospective reviews to introduce efficiencies for quicker delivery with high quality.
  5. Participate in planning, estimation, and sizing of products, features, and stories.
  6. Deliver a well-structured quality assurance solution aligned with enterprise quality practices and standards.
  7. Report and manage resolution of issues promptly.
  8. Assist in breaking down business needs into manageable features, stories, and epics.
  9. Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning.
  10. Discuss low-level design and functional requirements with QA Lead and Application/Solution Architect.
  11. Collaborate with the core technical team to improve automation frameworks.
  12. Develop automation code using the automation test kit.
  13. Implement test automation solutions with adequate coverage.
  14. Ensure automation test solutions meet architectural and development standards.
  15. Catalog and store automation test code appropriately.
  16. Store artefacts in the repository for easy access.
  17. Integrate and execute test automation on DevOps pipelines.
  18. Log defects using the pre-defined defect management process.
  19. Identify potential product risks and communicate them to the QA Lead.
  20. Report testing status daily to the squad.
  21. Collaborate with stakeholders for defect resolution.
  22. Participate in retrospectives and stakeholder showcases.
  23. Manage own time based on expected timelines.
  24. Collaborate with industry experts to stay updated on technical advances.
  25. Mentor software test engineers to enhance their skills.
  26. Support the achievement of business strategies and objectives.
  27. Stay abreast of developments in the field of expertise.
  28. Ensure personal growth and performance effectiveness.
  29. Contribute to company culture initiatives.
  30. Participate in corporate responsibility initiatives.
  31. Seek opportunities to improve business processes through agile thinking.

Requirements:

  • Completed IT / BSc degree or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Automation Test Analyst.
  • Must have SAP experience.
  • Good working knowledge of front-end and API automation, as well as performance testing (NFT).
  • Tools include Selenium, Appium, Healenium, RestAssured, and JMeter.
