Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in Automation, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment as an Automation Technician.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs and VFDs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of automated machinery and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues in production lines.
- Assist engineers in installation and commissioning of new automation equipment.
- Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and manuals.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs and robotic systems under guidance.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards and procedures.
- Maintain logs of maintenance, parts used and equipment status.
- Operate diagnostic equipment to identify faults and performance issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation systems.
- Support production teams in resolving technical issues affecting output.
