Job description

Provide advanced technical support for our Digital Farming (DF) and related product lines

Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of DF systems and pilot sites

Assemble and wire control panels, dosing units, radio modules, and protection systems

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both remotely and on-site across South Africa and the SADC region

Conduct training for dealers and end-users to ensure optimal system use

Support auxiliary systems, including filter banks and control modules

Report directly to the DF Technical Manager and collaborate with the DF Product Manager as needed

Skills & Experience

35 years of hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, or mechatronic systems

Excellent time management and communication skills

Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently

Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Inventor is a plus

Familiarity with the following is beneficial

Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems

Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and PLC systems

Computer hardware and diagnostics

Hydraulic systems and flow dynamics

Qualifications

BTech or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a certified Electrician Trade Test

Valid drivers license

Valid passport (required for travel across South Africa and the SADC region)

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
