Qualifications

• At least 5 years of plant automation experience as a Senior Automation Specialist.
• Proven track record in troubleshooting and analysis of instrumentation and process engineering system problems.
• Excellent knowledge of regulation loops, P&ID reading, and automatization principles.

• Oversee instruments and control systems, ensuring professional maintenance and design.
• Improve plant machine efficiency and handle both preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Utilize Continuous Improvement tools effectively.

My international client near Germiston is looking for a degreed Automation & Electromechanics Engineer to join their team.

The engineer will oversee instruments and control systems from an engineering perspective, ensuring all maintenance, design, and additions are performed professionally.

South African citizens only, please.

Requirements Degree in Engineering, preferably Electromechanics and Automation (a National Diploma will be considered) SAP proficiency Knowledge of SCADA and advanced PLC systems and their integration (SIEMENS, OMRON, SCADA) Knowledge of QIS systems At least 5 years of plant automation experience as a Senior Automation Specialist Proven track record in troubleshooting and analysis of instrumentation and process engineering system problems Knowledge of Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis and Root Cause Analysis Excellent knowledge of regulation loops, P&ID reading, Modulization, Siemens Programming Proficiency in SIMATIC STEP7 (TIA Portal) and MOVITOOL Solid knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic principles and related automation controls Good mechanical background (conveyors, pumps, compressors, generators, etc.)
