Job summary

A busy commercial vehicle autobody shop on the East Rand is seeking a customer-focused Receptionist. The ideal candidate will ensure a welcoming experience for clients and assist with various administrative duties, requiring at least 2 years in a relevant role within the motor industry. Candidates should reside in Springs, Benoni, or Brakpan and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the motor industry.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Job description

Our client a busy commercial vehicle autobody based on the East Rand, are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join their dynamic team in the East Rand, preferably residing in Springs, Benoni, or Brakpan. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for all customers and visitors and must have previous experience in the motor industry preferably in the Autobody or Commercial Vehicle sectors. The role is critical in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for clients.

Duties :

  • Greet and welcome customers and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and route incoming calls promptly and accurately
  • Manage the reception area and ensure it is always clean and presentable
  • Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department or person
  • Handle booking of service appointments and follow-ups
  • Coordinate vehicle handovers, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
  • Support staff with general administrative duties
  • Maintain client records and update customer databases
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
  • Assist with cashier functions and invoicing when required

Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Receptionist or Administrator in the motor industry (commercial vehicles experience and / or Autobody Repair Centre will be an advantage)
  • Well-presented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous)
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities
  • Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented
  • Residing in Springs, Brakpan, or surrounding areas
