Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Mbombela is looking for a skilled Auto Electrician to perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty and underground mining equipment. The ideal candidate should have a valid South African driver's license and a Trade Certificate. Experience with modern electrical systems and OEM diagnostic software is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or N2/N3 Engineering qualification is required.

SUMMARY :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to handle electrical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of heavy-duty and underground mining equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and hands-on experience with modern electrical systems in heavy machinery.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum Requirements :

• Grade 12 (Matric) or N2 / N3 Engineering qualification
• Trade Certificate as an Auto Electrician (or equivalent – Earthmoving Equipment Electrician)
• Proven experience with advanced fault-finding and repairs on heavy machinery
• Valid South African driver’s license

Advantages :

Experience with OEM diagnostic software (e.g. Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, etc.)

Familiarity with PLC and telemetry systems

Prior exposure to underground mining machinery and equipment

Certification in OEM-specific diagnostics and systems
