AtripleA recruitment & temps is seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to join our bus maintenance team in Pretoria. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems on buses and heavy commercial vehicles, with emphasis on CAN bus, ECM and multiplex systems.

Strong diagnostic skills, safety awareness, and independent work are essential, with fluency in English and Afrikaans. The successful candidate will bring at least five years of hands-on experience, a valid Code 8+

Qualifications

• Auto Electrician with trade test certificate.
• Minimum 5 years' experience on buses or heavy commercial vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of CAN bus, ECM and multiplex electrical systems.
• Valid Code 8+ driver's license.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and tools.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems on buses, including lighting, wiring, alternators, starters, batteries, and control systems.
• Perform fault-finding using modern diagnostic equipment and software.
• Repair or replace defective wiring, connectors, and electrical components.
• Maintain, install, and test vehicle electrical systems, including CAN bus and ECM systems.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and reports accurately.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff as required.
