Job Description
- The Truck Workshop department is seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven, dedicated individual to join the team. This position requires someone capable of working in a fast-paced, demanding, and pressurized environment.
Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Install new electronic components on vehicles.
- Diagnose and maintain electronic components in vehicles.
- Utilize a variety of tools for efficient repairs.
- Test and repair starters, alternators, and charging systems.
- Operate tools and equipment safely.
- Repair and replace defective wiring.
- Fault find electrical systems using visual inspection and testing equipment such as multimeters and battery load testers.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Complete job reports and paperwork.
- Perform repairs for COF's.
- Conduct quality control checks.
- Attend to breakdowns.
- Repair gear selection systems on International, Volvo, and UD trucks.
- Troubleshoot machine breakdowns.
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on machinery.
Applicants Must Have The Following Qualifications
- A Red Seal Auto Electrician Qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- Professionalism in the workplace.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems.
- Experience with trucks and earth-moving machinery.
- Ability to work in challenging conditions and under pressure.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment.
- Deadline-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid code C1 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
