Job summary

University of the Western Cape is inviting applications for a Lecturer in Auditing in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate Auditing, supervise students, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in research and community outreach.

The Department of Accounting holds SAICA and SAIPA accreditations and offers accredited degrees.

Qualifications

• Registered Chartered Accountant (SA) is required.
• At least one year of teaching or academic trainee experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level or in a CA training environment.
• Involvement in community engagement activities relevant to the discipline.
• Participation in institutional service activities such as course coordination, committee work, curriculum planning, events planning or student support initiatives.
• Evidence of engagement with academic or professional networks indicating academic citizenship.
