Description of the role and purpose of the job:
Supervisor in DPP Audit and Assurance, part of the dynamic team that supports the audit functions in Africa in the application of audit and assurance standards and supporting and monitoring the use of KCW tools and methodology in the audit.
The individual will be involved in the following:
• Responsible for support ing DDP Audit and Assurance working on consultations (ie methodology and reporting) and pre-issuance reviews of audit and assurance reports from audit engagement teams throughout of Africa.
• I nvolvement in specific projects within DPP Audit & Assurance , including developing tools, templates and guidance for the audit function related to these topics.
• Assist with the development of training content for KPMG audit colleagues on an annual basis.
This position can be filled through a permanent internal transfer from Audit or a long-term secondment from audit (ie 18 - 24 months - out of the box experience).
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow knowledge of audit, assurance and reporting standards with a degree of specialisation in topics / markets, if required.
- Researching and answering assurance, audit and review reporting consultations (including informal inquiries) for KPMG staff and clients in accordance with International Standards of Auditing (ISA's), ISAE, ISRE the International Standards Reporting Manual (ISRM) and locally issued South African Auditing Practice Standards (SAAPS) and JSE reporting requirements.
- Researching and answering informal inquiries and consultations on methodology questions relating to the application of KAEG for audit engagements on KPMG Clara Workflow.
- Assisting managers in the preparation of the content for audit updates and training on ISA's, ISRM and SAAPS's for KPMG partners and staff through the African region.
- Staying up to date with developments in both local standards and ISA's through internal research and active involvement on local, regional and/or global topic teams.
- Involvement on specific projects within DPP Audit & Assurance, including supporting senior staff members with implementation. This includes projects related to certain operational and technical aspects of supporting the audit function, including but not limited to development of tools, templates and other supporting items.

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):
- Chartered Accountant with three (3) years audit experience in a training contract
- Good working knowledge and understanding of ISA .
