A leading Chartered Accounting firm is seeking a dynamic Audit Specialist to join their team. The Audit Specialist role is ideal for a candidate who has completed SAICA training and seeks a permanent position in audit. The role includes audit work within Caseware, exposure to audit article experience, and a mix of office-based and client-site responsibilities. The position requires strong technical ability, a proactive work ethic, and the capability to self-manage tasks effectively. The role is based in Bedfordview, with office-based requirements and regular travel within Gauteng.
Responsibilities
- Perform audit work using Caseware Working Papers
- Conduct audit planning, execution, and completion activities
- Review financial records, systems, and processes for compliance and accuracy
- Prepare audit files and supporting documentation
- Engage with clients professionally during audit assignments
- Assist with drafting audit findings and reports
- Manage assigned audit tasks within deadlines and budget
- Perform related duties and ad-hoc tasks as required by management
- Travel to client sites within Gauteng as needed
- Maintain accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of financial information
Requirements
- Accounting Degree or related Degree
- Completed SAICA training program and discharged
- Under 35 years old (preferred)
- CTA 1 (complete or in final semester/year)
- CTA 2 / completed CTA or started ITC/APC exams (advantage)
- CA(SA)-eligible candidate preferred (not yet qualified also considered)
- Completed audit articles and strong audit experience
- Caseware Working Papers experience (non-negotiable)
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Laptop capable of running Caseware (Windows 11 Pro 64-bit recommended)
- Must reside within 40km of Bedfordview or willing to relocate at own cost
- Ability to work full-time onsite (no remote/hybrid)
- Willing to travel to client sites and perform fieldwork
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage time and workload independently
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must provide current location on CV and ability to start within required timelines
