Job description

A dynamic and successful Auditing & Accounting firm providing personalized and value-added services to clients, assisting them in succeeding in a tough economic and competitive market environment. We are currently looking for an Audit Senior / Manager for our office in Pretoria.

As a leading and professional firm, we are constantly aware of the critical importance of customer service satisfaction. Moreover, accessibility to the expert knowledge of our experienced and uniquely skilled team enables us to exceed our clients' expectations.

Duties would include but not be limited to :

  1. Spearheading the planning and concluding phases of audits
  2. Conducting pre-engagement activities including establishing a clear audit approach in collaboration with clients
  3. Identifying planning priorities such as materiality assessments
  4. Articulating the audit strategy and its progression to partners and senior managers on the project
  5. Skilfully reviewing and crafting financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS
  6. Evaluating the going concern status of entities and their operations for the foreseeable future by scrutinizing forecasts

Education / Experience :

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  2. Currently in the articles of clerkship process and studying towards a professional accounting qualification
  3. 3 years articles (post-articles studies)
  4. 3 years audit experience
  5. Newly qualified CA(SA) would be an advantage
  6. Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures
  7. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications such as Caseware and Pastel
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  10. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
