Audio Equipment Sales Representative – Cape Town.
Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for the tourism industry? Our client, a leading provider of high-quality audio equipment for tour operators, museums, and visitor experiences, is seeking an Audio Equipment Sales Representative to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you’ll combine your sales expertise with your understanding of the travel and tourism sector to connect clients with innovative audio solutions that enhance every visitor’s experience.
Salary: R15 000 per month.
Requirements:
- Matric,
- Minimum 5–8 years of B2B sales experience
- A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong sales psychology and negotiation skills
- Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated, energetic and entrepreneurial
- Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities
- Fluent in English (verbal and written). Additional languages (e.g. Afrikaans, other local languages) are advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle – travel within SA is essential
- Able to work remotely/home-based and independently, with discipline to manage flexible hours.
- Willing to put in extra effort (evenings or weekends) when needed for client events.
- Familiarity with CRM and standard office software. Prepared to occasionally represent the company at industry exhibitions or training events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue opportunities in corporate AV, events, tourism, education, government and related sectors
- Generate and qualify leads through cold outreach, networking and industry events
- Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations and on-site product demonstrations of tour-guide, PA and microphone systems
- Show technical features clearly to clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Understand customer needs and advise on appropriate solutions from the product range (and related offerings)
- Provide excellent post-sale support and training.
- Develop proposals, quotations and bids
- Negotiate terms and close deals
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Keep accurate records in CRM (leads, forecasts, sales)
- Work with management on marketing strategies, and coordinate with technical support for installations
- Provide market feedback for product development and pricing
- Willingness to travel if needed across South Africa (and occasionally regionally) to meet clients and attend trade shows
