Job Description

Responsible for total Quality assurance at the Production Site, which includes ensuring the effectiveness of Quality Control Management System and specifications which enables the production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily quality control checks on incoming raw material, in- process product and / finished / packed product.
  • Responsible for total Quality assurance at the Production site which includes ensuring the effectiveness of Quality Control Management System and specifications which enables the production of high- quality products.
  • To timeously ensure that testing equipment are in good condition to ensure accuracy of results.
  • To analyze and record the results to verify whether the products are within specification and inform line and or supervisor accordingly.
  • To maintain general standard of housekeeping and safety to meet GLP standards.
  • To ensure Food Safety (FSSC 22000) adherence.
  • To ensure that the OHSAct is complied with.
  • To ensure timeous and accurate results capturing onto LIMS

Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science

Experience Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment will be an advantage - Computer literate (Microsoft Office package)

Other Requirements

  • Pressurized factory environment, working with machinery in plant.
  • Required to work on a rotational shift basis, Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays, overtime when required as well as unusual working hours (after hours)
  • Must be flexible and available to stand in on short notice
