Responsibilities:
- Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients and develop strategies to approach and secure new business.
- Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting benefits and features of products/services.
- Research and Identify Leads: Analyze target markets and identify potential clients aligned with the company's services.
- Outreach Strategies: Use cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking to initiate contact with prospects.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads to ensure consistent sales opportunities.
- Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate terms of sales agreements and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to management.
- Coordination: Work with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales orders and customer service.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Client Information Accuracy: Ensure all client records are accurate and uploaded into CRM.
- Targets: Generate revenue of six times the monthly Cost to Company.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in microbiology, biotechnology, food technology, or environmental health.
- Previous experience selling food safety training (advantageous).
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a sales position within the B2B market.
- 2 years' experience in the HSE industry with broad knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Own reliable transport and willingness to travel.
- Preference given to employment equity candidates.
