Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Environmental Consultant to lead and manage various client projects in our environmental division in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the overall strategy, direction, and success of AESG as part of the leadership team.
  2. Manage complex projects independently and resolve project issues.
  3. Generate repeat business with clients.
  4. Provide mentorship and line management.
  5. Support the commercial success of the division through effective project management.
  6. Ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
  7. Develop and maintain client relationships to secure repeat work.
  8. Engage in business development, including cross-selling services.
  9. Oversee project delivery, resource management, and proposal development within the division.
  10. Provide thought leadership in the division and industry.
  11. Support the development of procedures to improve division efficiency.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or relevant field.
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • 8 to 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven track record in business development and client care.
  • At least 5 years in a project supervisory or leadership role.
