Director and Senior Manager

JOB PURPOSE

To be a key driver in building the BDO People business. Responsibilities range from business development, thought leadership, solution creation, operational management, managing teams, and the advancement of expert teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive business transformation projects and deliver quality client service.
  • Provide insightful solutions and balance multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate technical competence in relevant specialisms.
  • Contribute to generating profitable revenue through client relationships.
  • Conduct business development and solution building.
  • Lead project workstreams from planning through to implementation.
  • Manage project resources and budgets effectively.
  • Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders for major change initiatives.
  • Encourage collaboration and promote an inclusive working environment.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues.
  • Prepare proposals and deliver presentations for potential clients.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for junior staff.
  • Review client requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage project work streams and client communications.
  • Participate or lead teams in consulting projects.
  • Design and deliver client reports and presentations.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop knowledge of consulting methodologies and HR field.
  • Develop subject matter expertise.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant post-graduate qualification, preferably a master’s degree and registration with the HPCSA/SABPP.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 15 years of substantive HR consulting experience.
  • Experience working with C-suites and senior management.
  • Strong business development experience in consulting.
  • Experience in operational management of a consulting business.
  • Leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to manage consulting projects and teams.
  • Experience in leading large-scale transformation projects.
